Frequently Asked Questions
What if my horse/pet is not good at standing still?
Once you book the session I’ll send you a guide with some tips for getting your horse ready which will include a little refresher on ground work to help. But don’t worry. We have tricks for getting pictures of even the most fidgety horses!
My pet is not great off-leash, is that a problem?
Not at all! We want your furry friend to be safe during the session, and if desired I can edit out the leash from the final images.
Where will the photo session take place?
Most sessions take place at the home, barn or farm where the horse or pet lives and feels most comfortable. In our pre-session call we’ll talk about the location, settings, and ideas!
What time of day works best?
Typically the light is most beautiful and pleasing about two hours before sunset.
What happens if it rains or snows?
I will be in contact the day before to confirm the session, and will always check the weather ahead of time. If there is inclement weather forecasted we will reschedule. If the weather turns on us while we are already shooting, I will also make arrangements to come back on another day so we can finish the session.
Will I get digital files of the photos?
Digital versions suitable for online posting (Instagram/Facebook) are included. Higher resolution versions are available for a separate price as well.
